FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KMPH) -
A man was arrested following a SWAT standoff at a mobile home park in the Fresno County community of Centerville Thursday evening.
Fresno County sheriff's deputies and Sanger police officers received a tip that a wanted man was hiding in a mobile home near Highway 180 and Piedra Road.
Authorities surrounded the home. They say the man -- identified as James Ray -- refused to come out. But shortly after a SWAT team deployed, he changed his mind, came out, and was arrested.
Investigators say Ray was wanted for several crimes in Sanger, including stealing a car, ramming a police cruiser trying to escape, and a recent armed robbery at the mobile home park.
