Fire Destroys Plastics Facility In Terra Bella

TERRA BELLA, Calif. (KMPH) -

Tulare County firefighters battled a large fire at a plastics facility in Terra Bella on Thursday.

The fire broke out just before 1 p.m. at Tuff Stuff Products, which is located on Road 256 near Avenue 96.

Thick, black smoke could be seen for miles.

Firefighters spent the night putting out hot spots. Crews were on scene Friday morning making sure there were no more flare-ups.

The building and its contents were destroyed.

According to its website, the company manufactures several types of plastic containers and accessories.

Amazingly, no one was hurt.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
