A 19-year-old man is dead after being shot in Hanford Thursday morning, and authorities suspect his older brother pulled the trigger.
Hanford Police say the shooting happened following a family argument at about 10:30 a.m. inside a home near Maxwell Drive and Maxwell Court; that's not far from the intersection of Grangeville Boulevard and 9 ¼ Avenue.
Police believe 26-year-old Samuel Ayala shot his younger brother, Adam, in the neck in front of their parents. The victim was taken to an area hospital where he died.
Samuel Ayala took off but was caught hiding in a home a few blocks away, police said. He was taken into custody without further incident.
