SELMA, Calif. (KMPH) -
For the second time in as many days, firefighters battled a fire at a Selma home.
Shortly after 8 a.m. Tuesday, fire crews were called to the two-story house at Second and Wilson.
The fire was so advanced, it destroyed the top floor.
This is the same house that caught fire about 12 hours earlier.
A family of six was able to escape the fire Monday night. Unfortunately, a cat was killed inside.
Investigators say it's possible embers could have hidden inside the 70-year-old wood house.
Firefighters have called in a dog to try to find out how the fire started.
