Woman Killed In Clovis Crash

CLOVIS, Calif. (KMPH) -

Police are investigating a solo vehicle crash in Clovis that left a woman dead.

It happened around 4 a.m. Friday and led to one lane of westbound Highway 168 at Fowler Avenue to be closed for several hours.

Clovis Police say a woman was driving a Toyota pickup southbound on Fowler when she lost control, ran off the road and went down the dirt embankment. The pickup landed on its roof on the highway.

The woman was ejected and died at the scene. The Fresno County Coroner's Office identified her as 28-year-old Brittany Davis, of Clovis.

Investigators say the roads were very wet at the time, and that may have contributed to the crash.
