FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -
Fresno will now be in the running for tens of millions of dollars worth of grant money for schools.

Race to the Top is an Obama administration grant that would provide almost $40 million for preschool through third grade literacy programs.
FTA had refused to sign off on the application, citing a number of concerns including language over teacher evaluations.
