U.S. Coast Guard Searching For Missing Captain

Posted:

The U.S. Coast Guard is trying to find the captain of a ship that sank during Hurricane Sandy.

It went down about 90 miles off the coast of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina.

The HMS Bounty was an 18th century replica tall ship used in many movie dramas.

Searchers are hoping that its captain, 63–year–old Robin Walbridge, of Saint Petersburg, Florida, has been able to survive the relatively mild water, where the ship went down.

The Coast Guard says it plans to search for him throughout the night.
