Top Dogs! Fresno Police K9s Compete, Win Big

FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -

The results are in from the 27th Annual Sierra K9 Trials held in Visalia this past weekend.

Members of the Fresno Police Department's K9 Unit took several top honors, including the Top K9 award.

More than 30 teams from around the state competed in the two-day event, which simulates real-life situations that a K9 officer may face in the field.

Results of the Fresno Police Department's teams:

Top Dog (overall winner)

Open Division (K9s that competed in more than two K9 trials)
1st Place: Brian Sturgeon and K9 Jack
2nd Place: Matthew Vincent and K9 Turbo
5th Place: Ray Sellick and K9 Q
