FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -

The Hoover High School boy's basketball team opened the Valley playoffs Tuesday night by rolling to a 77-50 victory over the Delano Tigers in Division III.

The Patriots, who went 10-0 to win their second straight North Yosemite League championship, have rolled off 11 victories in a row.

The only game in Division I had Clovis East hosting rival Clovis in a matchup that went to the wire.

The Timberwolves needed a putback basket at the buzzer by Nathan Amundsen, son of head coach Tim Amundsen, to eliminate the Cougars 73-71.

The playoffs continue Thursday night.
