FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -
Fresno Police have arrested a woman they say beat her two-year-old niece.
22-year-old Diana Ochoa was taken into custody Wednesday after witnesses said she was running naked in and out of traffic in the area of Herndon Avenue and Fresno Street.
Witnesses told police they saw her beating the little girl.
When officers got there, they found the two-year-old naked and bleeding from the head.
Investigators say Ochoa had entered a business in the area and asked if anyone wanted the child. They say Ochoa then stripped naked and took off the toddler's clothes as well.
The girl was taken to the hospital. According to medical staff, she is doing remarkably well.
Ochoa was booked into the Fresno County Jail where she faces charges of cruelty to a child.
