15 recruits make up Tim DeRuyter's first class as new head football coach at Fresno State.
DeRuyter landed eight offensive players, six defensive players and one athlete. Three of the recruits are from the Valley, including mammoth offensive tackle David Keller of Fresno's San Joaquin Memorial High School.
The shocker of the day came out of Easton's Washington Union High School where Deontay Greenberry was expected to sign with Notre Dame. But the California Player of the Year had other ideas.
Instead of joining his cousin, Tee Shepard, in South Bend, Greenberry signed with the University of Houston.
The Cougars led the nation last year in passing and points, but must replace record-breaking quarterback Case Keenum.
In announcing his decision, Greenberry said he had to do what was in his best interest.
