The Bullard High School basketball team is on a roll right now. The Knights' overall record is 20-2, and their convincing victory over league foe Edison has them riding a nine-game winning streak into yet another big County Metro Athletic Conference game.
Bullard, off to a 3-0 start in league play, will be at San Joaquin Memorial Thursday night.
Like Bullard, the Panthers are also 3-0 in the CMAC. So it's a showdown game for sole possession of first place.
Throughout the season, Bullard head coach Tony Amundsen has preached the next game is the biggest game. He is well aware of the challenges presented by San Joaquin Memorial and the Panthers' 6-11 star, Robert Upshaw.
Amundsen says the Knights have found an answer for almost every good player they have faced this season. We will find out if Bullard's streak continues Thursday night.
