The top ranked Buchanan High School basketball team made it eight straight wins Tuesday night with a 64-57 win over rival Clovis West. Alex Fertig scored 30 points for the Bears, who are 3-0 in TRAC play and 18-2 overall.

Buchanan has another rivalry game, at Clovis, Friday night.

Meanwhile, the Armstead brothers helped Bullard to an 85-67 victory at Edison in a battle for first place in the CMAC.

The Knights are 3-0 in league play and 20-2 overall with a nine-game winning streak.

Bullard has another big game Thursday night, taking on San Joaquin Memorial.
