SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (KMPH) -

Considered by many to be the "ultimate" car, the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport will appear at the Barrett-Jackson Auction in Scottsdale, Arizona.

The car is priced at approximately $1.9 million, and only 150 of them will ever be made.

France-based car maker Bugatti says the Veyron Grand Sport is the highest performing open-top car in the world: it can reach speeds of up to 253 mph with its roof closed and 223 mph with its roof off.

The Barrett-Jackson Auction is part of a large collector car event which will be held January 15-22.
