FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -
Metal tissue holders contaminated with low levels of radioactive material may have been distributed to Bed, Bath & Beyond stores in more than 20 states, including California, federal regulators said Thursday.
Bed, Bath & Beyond says the Dual Ridge Metal boutique tissue holder was sold in stores and online since July 2011.
The company said in a statement that it was recalling the tissue holders and asking any customers who bought them to return them for a full refund.
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission says the tissue holders do not pose a real threat to anyone's health, but it's better to avoid unnecessary exposure to radiation.
