Natalee Holloway's Accused Killer To Plead Guilty In 2nd Murder?

Lima, Peru -

Joran van der Sloot is the main suspect in killing Alabama teenager Natalee Holloway, and has been for years.  One witness told police he did it after a night of drinking in Aruba.  But he's never gone to trial, and some say that's because his late father was an Aruban Government official.

But now he faces trial in Peru for killing a second young woman.  Police say he killed her in a hotel room after the woman found things on his laptop that connected him to Holloway's murder.

On Friday van der Sloot threw yet another legal curve ball at lawyers, judges, and the families of the women he's accused of killing.

He went into a courtroom where it was thought he'd plead guilty to killing the Peruvian woman, and instead said he needed more time to think about his plea and the charges against him.

According to the Associated Press, van der Sloot told the court, "I want to give a sincere confession, but I don't agree with all the charges that have been placed on me by the prosecutor. Can I have more time to think about this?"

van der Sloot's lawyer has made comments that some legal experts believe are hints that his client will plead guilty to the Peru murder.

van der Sloot has, in the past, told Holloway's family he would tell them what happened.  They say he then fed them lies or refused to answer questions.

There are three judges that will decide the case or hear his plea.  van der Sloot was told to come back to court on January 11.
