It appears Tulare Union High School football star Xavier Stephens will play his college football in Las Vegas.  A sensational running back and powerful linebacker, Stephens has reportedly given a verbal commitment to UNLV.

Stephens, this year's winner of the Bob Mathias Award, rushed for more than 14 hundred yards and scored 36 touchdowns this season.

The six-foot, 230-pounder was named first team, all-league for the third straight year.

Verbal commitments are not binding, so Stephens could change his mind before national signing day in February.
