On Saturday, it is Washington Union's turn in the spotlight. The Panthers play Campolindo in the Division-III state championship game at noon at the Home Depot Center.
And they got quite a sendoff Friday morning as students, faculty and administrators braved the cold and fog to show their support.
The team heads to Carson with a perfect 13-0 record. Washington Union is the first school from the CIF Central Section to play in the state championship game.
