An interesting twist is developing thanks to an Internet report that Fresno State Athletics Director Thomas Boeh may be in the running for another job. There is an opening at the University Of Central Florida, and it's easy to see why Boeh could be seen as a solid candidate.

He was one of four finalists for the same job 18 years ago, and Boeh has a relationship with current UCF President John Hitt that goes back more than 20 years. Hitt was vice president at Maine when Boeh was an associate AD at the school. Boeh has said he considers Hitt a mentor.

Boeh cleaned up a mess at Fresno State when he arrived five years ago. Now Central Florida has a mess as the AD and a couple of assistant coaches are out after NCAA violations.

But I have it on very good authority that Thomas Boeh is not going after this job.
