This is rivalry week for the Fresno State football team, as the Bulldogs return home to take on San Jose State. The Spartans are 4-7, coming off a win over Navy. This will be their final game of the season.

It has to be difficult to recruit to a school like San Jose State. It's in an area where the Raiders, 49ers, Stanford and Cal are getting most of the attention.

And to compound things, the Spartans don't win...only one bowl appearance in the last 20 years.

Still, players find their way to San Jose, with the hope of being part of that team that turns it around. One of them is sophomore linebacker Keith Smith.
