The Fresno State football team is finishing up final preps for their game against Louisiana Tech this Saturday in Bulldog Stadium. It's called the 'Battle for the Bone', but it's for a lot more than that. The loser is pretty much eliminated from WAC title contention as Fresno State is (2–1) coming in. LA Tech is a half game better at (3–1). Coach Hill knows how big these games are. The Bulldogs versus the Bulldogs, this Saturday at 7:30 p.m. The game will be broadcast nationally on ESPNU. Fresno State must win four of their last five games to be eligible for a bowl game.
The Fresno Athletic Hall of Fame, class of 2011, enshrined at the Convention Center. Seven individuals and the 1971 to 1973 San Joaquin Memorial basketball team. The biggest names have to be NBA great Bruce Bowen, NLF'ers Lorenzo Neal and Ickey Woods, but the four others joining them deserve the same recognition. Ken Papi, Courtney Dale–Boldt, Dan Gladden, and Bob Barnett. A great honor for another great class of sports legends.
