Free Smog Checks at Fresno Fairgrounds

Posted:

If you're worried whether your car can pass a smog check, you're in luck.

The San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District and Valley Clean Air Now are hosting the free "Tune In & Tune Up" event on Saturday, August 20th.

Vehicles will be checked at the Fresno Fairgrounds parking lot, on Maple and Butler, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Crews will provide a free vehicle emissions test. If it doesn't pass but can be repaired, you'll receive a voucher for up to $800 in emission-related repairs.

The event is on a first come, first served basis. A maximum of 525 vehicles will be tested.
