Kids and adults alike started getting in line around 6 a.m. Thursday at movie theaters around the Valley to catch the final installment of the Harry Potter film series.
Children who started reading these books in the fourth grade, for example, have now just earned their college degrees.
"It's bittersweet. It really is. I mean it's gonna be an amazing movie but sad because it's over, and I'll never be able to wait in a line like this ever again. You get to meet new people, and it's just gonna be sad," said Melinda Berry, who recently graduated from Fresno Pacific University
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 will open in theaters at midnight Friday.
All 22 screens at Edwards Theater in North Fresno will show the movie. Tickets have been sold out for weeks.
