Ever wonder what a day might be like in Kim Stephens kitchen?
Well you got a glimpse into her world Wednesday, when she and her husband Rick baked Sour Cream Coffee Cake in the Great Day Kitchen.
Rick was filling in as the guest co-host Wednesday, while Kopi's on vacation.
Here's a look at his recipe for those who wish to try it at home:
Sour Cream Coffee Cake:
Cream together:
1 stick butter
1 cup sugar
Add:
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
Mix Together and add to wet ingredients:
1 1/2 cup cake flour
1/2 c all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
Add:
1/2 pint sour cream
Put in 9x13 greased Pyrex
Alternate batter and topping
Bake 350 for 30 minutes
TOPPING:
3/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup nuts
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
3 tablespoons cake flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
