Hockey's Monsters Set To Begin New Chapter

The start of another ice hockey season is right around the corner for the Fresno Monsters.

They have the same name, will still play at Selland Arena, and hope to have the same kind of success as they did last year.  But that is where the similarities end.

Sunbirds Fly Past Fresno State

The Fresno Pacific volleyball team got a match high 17 kills from Martina Gregusova Wednesday night on the way to a three game sweep of Fresno State in the annual exhibition match between the schools.  The scores were 25-15, 25-22 and 25-16.

The Sunbirds, three time reigning NAIA National Champions, are now 6-0 in exhibition matches against the Bulldogs.

Marissa Brand had 13 kills to lead Fresno State, which plays Seton Hall Friday night in Berkeley. More>>

Fresno State's Harrell Honored For Career Night

 Fresno State's Logan Harrell today was named the Defensive Player of the Week in the Western Athletic Conference.

Harrell had four of the Bulldogs' eight sacks in their 28-14 win over Cincinnati.  The junior defensive tackle also forced a fumble and batted down a pass against the Bearcats. More>>

'Dogs And Their Stadium Prepare For Opening Night

We are less than 48 hours away from opening night for the Fresno State football team.

The Bulldogs kick off the new season Saturday evening when they host Cincinnati.

Workers were busy putting the finishing touches on the field decorations at Bulldog Stadium this afternoon.

At the same time, Fresno State was going through final game preparations.
